Not answering to the phone in front of the partner ... such an abstract message by the well know romanian essayist Adrian Gabriel Dumitru
I looked at Ella, but also at Karl ... while being close to me ... into the coffee shop.
His phone was always ringing.
Of course ... cause he was a businessman ... most probably was connected to many people .... and had to chat with them all the time.
He spoke load ... sometimes even on speaker ... like he had nothing to hide ... not from Ella, but also from anyone who was at that time in there.
And ... to tell you the truth ... he started to even annoy me ... with all the discussions i was hearing while he was on the phone.
I was into that coffee shop to ... relax ... not to listen at the problems of his businesses.
But ... soon after … not being able to ignore their presence in there ... i've also noticed that she was never talking to the phone.
And ... if her phone was ringing ... she never pick it up and talk.
I already knew her answers ... "It's from the bank ... i don't
want to talk to them." , "It's my friend ... Violeta ... i'll call her later, cause i am not in the mood for her."
In fact ... she had a very long list of replies for him and even if Karl used to say to her ... " My darling ... please answer ... it's ok." .... i never saw her ... ever ... answering to any phone call.
But what is more funny was that i knew Karl by many years ... and with the previous woman he used to come to the coffee shop ... he never answered to his phone while being into her company.
So ... why the hell Ella was so afraid to answer to the phone calls in front of her partner?!
And why the hell Karl didn't speak on the phone in front of her previous woman from his life ... but with Ella had a totally different behaviour ... not hiding anything from her?!
Somehow ... I believe they are in different stages of their evolution.
Or maybe Karl had things to hide from his previous partner and living a karmic reply ... was experiencing now this story with Ella ... which most probably had things to hide from him.
And more i analyse ... more I understand ... it was all like i was in front of an abstract painting representing the relationship between man and woman... but i was not really understanding the message of the painter.
